The Google Pixel Notepad foldable phone is said to cost around $1,400 (~Rs 1,04,700).
The leaked price is much lower than that of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3, which retails for $1,800 (Rs 1,49,999 in India).
The Google Pixel Notepad is expected to launch later this year.
Google is reportedly working on a foldable phone called the Pixel Notepad that will cost less than the Samsung Galaxy Fold. It is speculated that the foldable phone will debut sometime before the end of the year. Now, a new report from 9to5Google suggests that the Mountain View giant is considering pricing the Pixel Notepad at $1,400 (roughly Rs 1,04,700). The leaked prices come from two independent sources familiar with Google’s ongoing plans. However, it is always possible that the target price will change at any point before the release.
The Google Pixel Notepad costs (probably) $1,399 in the US, which is $500 more than the Pixel 6 Pro and $400 less than the $1,799 Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3. Earlier reports suggested there would be a gap between the U.S. and international launches. However, given that the Pixel 6 series never made it to India, it is unclear whether the foldable phone will make its debut in India.
Other reports suggest that the Pixel foldable phone looks more like the OPPO Find N than the Samsung Galaxy Fold. This means it will be short and wide instead of tall and narrow.
We can strongly speculate that it will likely use the Tensor chipset inside, but not the Pixel 6’s 50-megapixel Samsung GN1 sensor. Instead, the phone will feature the 12.2MP main Sony IMX363, which we’ve seen in the lineup from the Pixel 3 to the Pixel 5a. It will be paired with an ultra-wide-angle 12MP IMX386 sensor. The foldable phone will have an 8MP snapper on the front for selfies and video chats. We may have to wait a little longer to learn more details about the Pixel Notepad foldable phone.
