According to Guruprasad Mahapatra, Secretary, Department of Industries and Internal Trade Promotion, the government has canceled tenders worth ₹ 30,000 crores to promote ‘Make in India’ products. He said that the Central Vigilance Commission has ordered an inquiry into tenders in which Indian companies were not provided the same opportunities as foreign companies.
