Ayana Renewable Power, backed by the National Investment and Infrastructure Fund (NIIF), and Greenstat ASA’s subsidiary Greenstat Hydrogen India, based in Norway, have signed a joint development agreement for the development of green hydrogen projects powered by renewable energy in India. The companies will collaborate to develop large-scale green hydrogen solutions in order to provide long-term green hydrogen supply to industrial and commercial customers in India. In Karnataka, a pilot project will be launched.
This partnership supports India’s National Hydrogen Mission, which aims to make the country a global hub for green hydrogen production and export.
“By 2050, India aims to produce three-quarters of its hydrogen from renewable energy sources,” said Shivanand Nimbargi, CEO and MD of Ayana. Ayana and Greenstat, as experts in their fields, have the knowledge and experience to help with this expansion.”
“We believe that measures are needed to succeed in the transition from fossil to renewable energy, and green hydrogen molecules will be a key factor in the energy transformation,” said Sturle Pedersen, chairman of Greenstat Hydrogen India.
