Eight more people died from the coronavirus in Haryana on Tuesday, with 8,388 new cases, bringing the state’s infection count to 8,64,490, according to a health ministry announcement.
So far, 10,124 people have died from the infection in the state.
The worst-hit Gurugram area reported 3,141 new cases.
Faridabad (1,136), Karnal (484), Panchkula (416), Sonipat (326), Ambala (437) and Yamunanagar (298) are other districts affected by the surge in cases.
According to the bulletin, while Yamunanagar district reported two deaths, Hisar, Sonnpat, Karnar, Panipat, Ambala and Kurukshetra districts reported separate deaths.
The recovery rate was 92.20 percent, while the cumulative recovery rate so far after the outbreak of the pandemic was 7,97,066, the announcement said.
