I don’t watch a lot of cricket, but even I know who Suryakumar Yadav is. He’s been making headlines recently as the Indian Premier League’s (IPL) most expensive uncapped player. But what I find most interesting about him is the fact that he is from another planet, at least according to Pakistani cricket legends. In a recent interview, when asked about who they would like to see in the Indian team, Pakistani cricket legends Javed Miandad and Imran Khan both effusively lauded Suryakumar Yadav. Miandad even went so far as to say that “Bowler jaaye toh jaaye kahan?” (Where will the bowlers go if he comes in?) high praise indeed from two of Pakistan’s all-time greats.
