HT School conducted the ClassAct 2022 Preliminary Round, the Hindustan Times Republic Day Quiz, on 23 January 2022 from 11:00am (IST) to 12:30pm (IST). 50,611 grades 1-12 students from around the world registered for the quiz at HT School. Students from 32 countries and 5 continents signed up for the quiz. A total of 32,644 students participated in the preliminaries on the Quizizz platform on January 23, 2022 from 11:00AM (IST) to 12:30PM (IST). Quizizz, a popular teacher learning and engagement platform, is the technology partner for the event. The 2022 ClassAct pre-audit is adjudicated in real-time by a well-known audit firm and multiple record organizations.
Avinash Mudaliar, one of ClassAct 2022’s quiz masters, continued: “Personally, I am pleased with the global turnout for the quiz. ClassAct Prelims have over 30,000 students playing live simultaneously, which is exciting! Our vision at HT School is to create a platform for spreading knowledge that is fun and engaging for kids…and this is just a step in that direction! There will be many more events like this in this direction. The quiz is not yet It’s over. I’m looking forward to seeing these youngsters show what they can do in the Republic Day finals.”
Preliminary is an individual event covering many topics such as history, science, geography, arts and entertainment, literature, and language and culture. It includes a combination of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and entry questions, and is hosted entirely online. Questions are timed and each contestant must answer 50 questions. The preliminaries are open for 90 minutes. Preliminaries begin at 11 a.m. and students are eagerly awaiting the quiz by visiting the preliminaries link from the HT Schools website. The students had a great time answering fun and tiring questions! It was indeed a good Sunday!
For those who can’t make it to the preliminaries, here are some of the easiest, toughest, and funniest questions. Beginning with the simplest, “Which two colors of paint would you mix to get orange?” The funniest question older students recall from childhood is, “What’s the name of this bowl-shaped hairstyle because it looks like a certain Plant life?” would surely leave many divisions. The question “Which country’s flag contains its largest outlet and has the same name as a trick in football where players roll the ball between the opponent’s legs.” will surprise football lovers, but will make others frown!
The ClassAct 2022 preliminaries saw an almost even distribution of students in the Junior (Grades 1-5) and Senior (Grades 6-12) groups, with 16, 821 entrants in the Junior and 15,821 entrants in the Senior. The feedback is amazing.
