Kiara Advani recently attended the Women In Cinema Gala at the 77th Cannes Film Festival, marking her first Cannes appearance. In an interview with Film Companion, she discussed her husband, actor Sidharth Malhotra, on the fringes of the esteemed film festival. Speaking about the desire of fans for the two to work together once more after their 2021 movie Shershaah, Kiara acknowledged that she would only accept such a project if it piqued her interest.

Kiara on returning to work with Sidharth

“I think Shershaah gave us a lot of love as a couple,” Kiara remarked. Consequently, there’s a buzz and people want to see us together. I’ve never really given it much consideration, such as, “How does this work as a couple?” I believe that since we are both individuals and performers first, it is how we would approach our search. Yes, we would love to collaborate, but there needs to be similar excitement on both sides.”

Additional information about their movie

The film Shershaah, which was supported by Karan Johar and was a biography of Indian Army soldier Vikram Batra, who was killed in the Kargil War, was the first collaboration between Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani, who got married on February 7, 2023.

Kiara portrayed his fiancée Dimple, while Sidharth portrayed the deceased military hero. The co-stars had been dating for a long after meeting on the sets of Shershaah, yet they never officially announced their romance until their 2023 wedding.
