The legendary Kapil Dev has praised Indian batting legend Sachin Tendulkar, describing him as “the perfect example of talent and hard work.” Tendulkar, who began his career at the age of 16, went on to become India’s greatest batter of all time, scoring over 34000 runs and 100 international centuries over the course of a 24-year career. Tendulkar holds every batting record known to man, and while highlighting the importance of maximising one’s talent and putting it to good use with hard work, Kapil emphasised how Tendulkar worked on it for over two decades, which helped him become the legend he is today.
“Young people will sometimes take up a hobby in order to impress others. I believe it is critical to first love yourself and then bring passion to whatever you enjoy. “I’ve never been one to speak much, and I’ve always been a doer. I believe that if you are truly committed, you can accomplish anything. I used to play for hours at a time when I was a kid, and I didn’t know the difference between day and night. I’d be perplexed as to why I couldn’t play at night.
