Indira Devi, the mother of actor Mahesh Babu, passed away on Wednesday. According to a report, she passed away at 4 am, a few days after being admitted to a Hyderabad hospital for her sickness. Known as Indira Devi, Krishna was a seasoned performer.
In a statement, Mahesh Babu’s family confirmed that Indira Devi’s burial would be held at Maha Prasthanam. Fans may pay their final respects by visiting her mortal remains at Padmalaya Studios.
“Smt Ghattamaneni Indira Devi, the longtime actress Krishna’s wife and Mahesh Babu’s mother, passed away just now. She had been ill for a long time. Fans can pay their last tribute to her at Padmalaya Studios starting at 9 a.m. today and continuing through tomorrow.
On Twitter, fans expressed their condolences. Someone wrote, “Amma (mother), may you rest in peace! In May of this year, Mahesh made his last post for his mother on Instagram. Pictures of Indira, his wife Namrata Shirodkar, and their kids, Gautham and Sitara Ghattamaneni, had been uploaded by him. He had penned, “To my mother. To my mum, my pillar of strength. And a very happy Mother’s Day to all the mothers in the globe! Your love is priceless. Always show respect!”
Mahesh Babu uploaded a picture of himself holding Indira’s hand on Mother’s Day of the previous year. He had penned, “Amma, happy birthday! daily thankful for you.”
