Ranveer Singh’s recent photoshoot is an attempt to seek gender equality, says Ram Gopal Varma. If women can show off their sexy bodies, why can’t men? Ranveer’s shoot has been the topic of discussion for some time now. The actor posed naked for a photo shoot for Paper magazine and shared the pictures on social media. He now faces police complaints over the same, reports Bollywood Hungama.

Two women filed an application with Mumbai Police seeking registration of an FIR against the actor for “hurting sentiments of women” through his nude photographs on social media. The applications were submitted by a man and a woman lawyer. An NGO and a woman lawyer have filed an application against Bollywood star Ranveer Singh. The application was filed on the charge of intent to outrage the modesty of women.

Ranveer Singh will next appear in Rohit Shetty’s Cirkus and Alia Bhatt’s Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. The film will be an adaptation of William Shakespeare’s Comedy of Errors. It is likely to release by the end of the year.
