In Sangrur, a bus runs over a Class 7 student and injures three others

At Mehlan Chowk in Sangrur, a Pepsu Road Transport Corporation (PRTC) bus mowed down a 12-year-old student, injuring three other students seriously.

Amandeep Kaur, a 12-year-old student in Class 7 at Mehlan village’s Government Senior Secondary Smart School, was identified as the deceased.

According to sources, one of the students suffered fractures in both legs. The injured are being treated at the Sangrur civil hospital.

“It appears that the bus was travelling at a high speed when it collided with the schoolchildren,” Sangrur senior superintendent of police Mandeep Singh Sidhu said. We’re trying to figure out if the student was attempting to cross the street or if the bus collided with the other students while attempting to rescue one of them.”
