Modi: India will get a record number of new doctors in the coming 10 years. He was speaking at the inauguration of a super-speciality hospital in Gujarat’s Bhuj district. The prime minister said that the government’s effort to make medical education accessible for everyone will also help the cause.
He also announced that the state will get a record number of doctors in the coming 10 years. Two decades ago, there were only nine medical colleges in Gujarat with 1,100 seats, he said.
Modi said the people of Bhuj and Kutch are “writing the new fate of this region” with their hard work. He said when a poor get access to cheap and best treatment, his faith in the system gets stronger. The meaning of ‘better health facilities’ is also social justice, he said.
