By-elections for Asansol Lok Sabha seat and Ballygunge assembly seat being held in West Bengal. The ruling Trinamool Congress and the BJP made allegations against each other. TMC’s Babul Supriyo alleged poll violation by his contender Keya Ghosh.

By-elections to choose a new MP for Asansol seat are being held on Tuesday. “The TMC people attacked us, hurled stones at our convoy, and police did nothing,” Agnimitra Paul said.

Some men were seen attacking each other in images shared by the news agency.
