Three individuals invaded the pitch towards the closing stage of Day 2 match between India and Sri Lanka. Two of them managed to snap a selfie with former Indian captain Virat Kohli. Security personnel quickly took control of the situation. The incident took place in the sixth over of the Sri Lankan innings as physio were attending Kusal Mendis after he was hit by a delivery bowled by Mohammed Shami, during the Test match between India and Sri Lanka, in Bengaluru. It was at this point that security personnel stepped in to stop the fans from approaching the batsman. Video of the incident soon went viral on social media.
Same incident took place in Mohali when one spectator had managed to enter the playing area during the first Test in Mohali.
