According to the Health Ministry, 9,887 cases of Covid-19 infection in India have been reported in the last 24 hours, taking the total to 2,36,657. India has overtaken Italy (2,34,531) in this case. After 294 deaths due to infection in the last 24 hours, the total number of deaths has increased to 6,642 while there are 1,15,942 active cases.
