Active cases accounted for 0.82% of total infections-the lowest level since March 2020-while active cases were 2,75,224, the lowest level in 196 days. India today reported 26,727 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, an increase that is 13% lower than yesterday. With the new infection, the total number of coronavirus cases rose to 3,37,66,707. At least 277 related deaths have been reported in the past 24 hours, bringing the total death toll to 4,48,339. Active cases accounted for 0.82% of the total number of infections-the lowest level since March 2020-while the current number of active cases is 2,75,224, the lowest level in 196 days. The national COVID-19 recovery rate was recorded at 97.86%, the highest level since March 2020. There have been at least 28,246 rehabilitations in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of rehabilitations in India to 3,30,43,144. The government stated that the cumulative dose of COVID-19 vaccine in the country exceeds 890 million – 69% of adults in the country now have at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccine, and 25% of adults have received two doses.
