Those who are totally opposed to Covid-19 and want to travel abroad will now get a vaccination certificate with a full date of birth on the CoWIN app. As of now, the certificate only refers to age based on the year of birth. The new feature may be launched next week. A senior central government official of the CoWIN management portal stated that the introduction of new features stems from the ongoing CoWIN certification technology discussions between India and the United Kingdom. A senior official of the portal told TOI, “We believe that the United Kingdom hopes that the date of birth format in the CoWIN certificate meets the standards of the World Health Organization and is suitable for international travelers in the dd-mm-yy format. Therefore, the CoWIN The same functionality will be introduced in the certificate.”
At the same time, Uddhav Thackeray, Chief Minister of Maharashtra State, stated that starting from October 7th, all places of worship in the state will be reopened, which is the first day of the Nine Nights Festival. After the first wave of coronavirus, religious places of worship in Maharashtra reopened in November last year, but they closed again after the second wave of outbreaks in March 2021.
