Pakistan says an India-origin “super-sonic flying object” entered its airspace on March 9 and crashed near the city of Mian Channu, some 310 miles from the capital Islamabad. A technical malfunction led to the accidental firing of a missile, Pakistan’s Defense Ministry said in a three-paragraph statement.
Military experts have repeatedly warned of the risk of miscalculation or nuclear accidents between the two nuclear-armed countries.
