New Delhi: Amid India slowly unlocking after more than two months of coronavirus-induced lockdown, a screenshot is being widely circulated on social media claiming that the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has hinted towards implementing a complete lockdown again after June 15. The photo, allegedly a screenshot of a report from a Hindi news channel, also claimed that air and rail travel could also be stopped.

‘Unlock-1’, the first phase of the lifting of lockdown restrictions after more than around two and a half months, came into effect on June 8.
Albeit restaurants, hotels, religious places, and shopping malls threw their doors open to the public, yet all is being done while following stringent guidelines issued by the Health Ministry to stem COVID-19 spread.
According to the Union Health Ministry data, the death toll due to coronavirus increased to 8,102 and the number of COVID-19 positive cases rose to 2,86,579 in the country after it recorded the highest single-day spike of 357 deaths and 9,996 positive cases till 8 am today.
The number of recovered cases continued to be more than the active ones for the second consecutive day.
“Around 49.21 per cent patients have recovered so far,” said an official.
Out of the total 8,102 deaths, Maharashtra tops the tally with 3,438 deaths followed by Gujarat (1,347), Delhi (984), Madhya Pradesh (427), West Bengal (432), Tamil Nadu (326), Uttar Pradesh (321), Rajasthan (259) and Telangana (156).
