Indian Boxers Won 14 Medals Including Six Gold In Golden Girl Boxing

India’s junior and young boxers won a total of 14 medals and the title of ‘Best Boxer’, winning six golds at the Golden Girl Championship played in Boras, Sweden.

The junior women’s team won five gold, three silver, and one bronze medals while the youth team won one gold and four bronze medals in the competition concluded on Sunday.

Prachi Dhankhar (50 kg) from Haryana, who participated in the junior category, won the title of ‘Best Boxer’. Apart from Prachi, Athobi Chanu Wangjon (54 kg), Lashu Yadav (66 kg) and Mahi Raghav (80 kg) also won gold in this category.

Muskan (54 kg) won the gold medal in the youth category. Sanya Negi (57 kg), Deepika (64 kg), Muskan (69 kg) and Sakshi Zahadel (75 kg) had to settle for bronze. In the junior category, Janhvi (46 kg), Rudy Lalmingmuni (66 kg) and Tanishka Patil (80 kg) won silver while Dia Negi won bronze in 60 kg.
