iPhone 13 Series Lacks Noise Cancellation Feature Available in Earlier Models, Apple Support Acknowledges

The iPhone 13 series doesn’t support the phone noise cancelling feature available on earlier models, which Apple Support reportedly said was an update to user queries. Shortly after the release of the latest iPhone lineup, some users noticed that there was no dedicated noise cancelling option that people with earlier iPhone models could find through Accessibility Settings. This is considered a bug, as the regular iPhone 13, as well as the iPhone 13 Pro, iPhone 13 Pro Max, and iPhone 13 mini, do have auxiliary microphones that can be used for noise-cancelling purposes during voice calls.

9to5Mac reports that Apple Support responded on Twitter to one of its users asking about noise-cancelling options on the iPhone 13 series, and said the new model doesn’t have a specific feature.

“The iPhone 13 model doesn’t support phone noise cancellation, which is why you don’t see this option in settings,” Apple Support was quoted as saying on the Apple Support website.

The user later asked for clarification on whether the iPhone 13 series does not support call noise reduction at all. The Apple support team responded that it is not supported.

Phone Noise Cancellation helps users manually control whether ambient noise during calls is reduced when the phone is held to their ear. The feature was in place on earlier iPhone models and was available as an option that users could access via Settings > Accessibility > Audio/Visual.
