The Kashmir Zone Police said on Friday that a Jammu and Kashmir Police constable was hospitalised after being shot at by a terrorist in the Union territory of Pulwama. “At his home in Gudroo, #Pulwama, a terrorist opened fire on Police Constable Reyaz Ahmed Thoker S/O Ali Mohammed. He’s been admitted to the hospital. #Restricted area. It said in a tweet that more information would be forthcoming.
Meanwhile, a large crowd gathered to pay their respects to Rahul Bhat, a government employee from the Kashmiri Pandit community who was killed by two terrorists inside his office in Budgam district, central Kashmir, on Thursday.
Terrorists entered the tehsil office in Chadoora town in the afternoon and opened fire on Bhat. The 45-year-old clerk was rushed to Srinagar’s Shri Maharaja Hari Singh Hospital, where he died as a result of his injuries.
Leaders and political parties in the Valley condemned the killing, which was claimed by the ‘Kashmir Tigers,’ according to news agency PTI.
