Prime Minister Narendra Modi received Boris Johnson at the Rashtrapati Bhavan in Delhi. UK PM thanked India for the warm welcome in a brief address. “I don’t think things have ever been as strong or as good between us (India-UK) as they are now”.
Ukraine war is expected to come up for discussion between the two leaders on Friday.
The UK and India have announced more than £1 billion in new investments between the two countries. PM Johnson had recently visited Ukraine and met the country’s president Volodymyr Zelensky. The UK has been repeatedly calling on Russia to end the violence in Ukraine.
