SYDNEY: Pace bowler Kane Richardson has removed from Australia’s restricted overs arrangement against India to invest energy with his infant child and been supplanted by Andrew Tye, Cricket Australia said on Wednesday.

Tye was important for Australia’s crew on their ongoing restricted overs visit through England.

“It was a troublesome choice for Kane to make yet one which has the total help of the selectors and the whole playing crew,” public selector Trevor Hohns said in an assertion.

“Kane needed to stay in Adelaide with Nyki and their infant child. We will consistently uphold our players and their families, considerably more so given the difficult climate we are in.”

The visit by India has been convoluted lately with a new Covid episode in South Australia, which is to have the main Test from December 17.

The restricted overs arrangement, including three one-day and three Twenty20 internationals in Sydney and Canberra, will go before the four Tests.

Cricket Australia added that in light of the episode, D’Arcy Short and Josh Philippe will prepare with the Australian restricted overs crew in Sydney from one week from now before they join their Big Bash sides.
