Khatija Rahman, the daughter of music legend AR Rahman, married her fiance, audio engineer Riyasdeen Shaik Mohamed. The music composer shared a photo of his family from the wedding ceremony, which included a portrait of his late mother displayed near the bride and groom’s seating area.
The bride and groom are dressed in white wedding gowns and sit on a sofa to pose for the camera in the family photo. Behind them are AR Rahman’s elder daughter Raheema, his wife Saira Banu, the music composer himself, and his son Ameen. “May the Almighty bless the couple… thanking you in advance for your good wishes and love @khatija.rahman @riyasdeenriyan #nikkahceremony #marriage,” AR Rahman captioned the photo on Instagram.
In the comments section, Rahman’s colleagues congratulated Khatija and her family. “Congratulations to the entire family!” wrote singer Harshdeep Kaur. “Hearty congratulations @khatija.rahman @riyasdeenriyan,” singer Shreya Ghosal wrote. “May God bless the lovely couple.”
Khatija also announced her wedding on Instagram with a photo. She stated, “It was the most anticipated day of my life. I’m married to my husband.” It provides a better view of their wedding attire.
Her post was also flooded with congratulations from her fans and other musicians. “Many many congratulations Khatija and @riyasdeenriyan,” Neeti Mohan added. “Congratulations kannamma,” wrote singer Chinmayi Sripaada. I’m ecstatic for you. I wish you nothing but happiness, peace, and unconditional love.” “Congratulations Khatija & Riyas!!” Harshdeep Kaur said once more. God bless both of you!”
In January of this year, Khatija and Riyasdeen got engaged. She had posted several photos from the engagement ceremony, in which she was dressed in a pink and silver ensemble. Khatija, like her father, is a singer and musician. She has sung a number of songs, including Rock a Bye Baby for Mimi, which stars Kriti Sanon.
