Panipat, Palwal, Aurangabad, Hodal (Haryana), Deoband, Nazibabad, Shamli, Muzaffarnagar, Bijnor, Khatauli, Sakoti Tanda, Chandpur, Daurala and adjoining areas may experience light to moderate rainfall and winds of 20-40 km/h, Meerut, Kithor, Amroha, Moradabad, Garhmukteshwar in the next two hours, the Indian Meteorological Department said.
The western disturbance, which is a westerly trough in the upper and middle troposphere, also affects the western Himalayas. Under its influence, an induced cyclonic circulation at a low tropospheric level was formed over Rajasthan. Thunderstorms and lightning are likely to cause widespread light to moderate rain or snow in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand .
Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan are likely to experience widespread rainfall with thunderstorms and lightning. Widespread light to moderate rainfall is likely in West Bengal, Sikkim, Jharkhand. Isolated rains are likely in Bihar and Odisha. In Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Assam, Meghalaya and Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripp Dense fog is likely to occur in remote areas and some areas at night and in the morning in Labang.
