The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) announced in a tweet that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the country at 10 am on Friday. On the second day when India’s vaccination coverage rate against the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) exceeded the 1 billion milestone mark, Prime Minister Modi delivered a speech to the country.
“PM @narendramodi will speak to the whole country at 10 o’clock this morning,” PMO told its official Twitter.
India reached the milestone of 1 billion doses of COVID-19 vaccine on Thursday morning. Several world leaders congratulated India on this achievement. The Prime Minister expressed gratitude to COVID-19 vaccine manufacturers, medical staff and all others who participated in the vaccination campaign on Thursday, as India achieved the milestone feat of vaccinating 1 billion doses.
