Playing his first international match in more than six months, India opener Shikhar Dhawan dazzled with the bat and became the leading scorer for the Indian camp. However, Dhawan’s 79 overs came to an end as India trailed by 31 and failed to chase 297 goals in the first ODI.

Cricketer-turned-commentator Sanjay Manjrekar was impressed by Dhawan’s performance and unabashedly admitted he was a “super” fan of the southpaw’s opener.
