The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a warning of torrential rains with orange and yellow alerts in 17 districts of Madhya Pradesh on Friday.
IMD has predicted 64 to 204 mm of rain under ‘Orange Alert’ at different places in the five districts of Vidisha, Raisen, Rajgarh, Guna, and Ashoknagar.
Apart from this, ‘Yellow Alert’ has been issued for Sehore, Shajapur, Agar-Malwa, Neemuch, Mandsaur, Shivpuri, Datia, Seoni, Sagar, Tikamgarh, Niwari, and Sheopur with rainfall ranging from 64 to 115 mm at isolated places. the possibility has been expressed.
PK Saha, a senior meteorologist of IMD’s Bhopal center, has expressed the possibility of rain or thundershower at most places in the districts of nine divisions of the state including Jabalpur and Bhopal.
He said that this weather forecast is valid till Saturday morning. Saha said that a low-pressure area has remained in the central part of the northern part of Madhya Pradesh.
He said that almost the whole of Madhya Pradesh has received intermittent rain in the last 24 hours. According to Saha, 156 mm (more than 15 cm) of rain has been recorded in the Guna district of Gwalior division from 8.30 am to 2.30 pm on Friday.
