The Maharani season 2 teaser previews the imminent conflict between Sohum Shah’s character Bheema Bharti and Huma Qureshi’s chief minister Rani Bharti.
On Saturday, the streaming service SonyLiv released the trailer for the second season of the political drama Maharani. In her conflict with her husband and predecessor Bheema Bharti, the lead character Rani Bharti (Huma Qureshi) was first seen in the teaser (Sohum Shah). The second season’s release date was not specified in the teaser. The first season of the programme premiered in 2020 to mixed reviews, however critics complimented Huma’s acting.
The teaser begins with Bheema Bharti, a former chief minister, emerging from prison sporting a new beard. He speaks at political events, one remotely using a phone that is kept next to the microphone, and he attributes his current state to his wife Rani. He then makes a vow to his supporters that he would not accept this and that Rani may expect a difficult battle. The focus then changes to Rani as she prepares to enter her vehicle.
