Due to the proliferation of COVID-19, the Maharashtra government on Thursday allowed inter-district movement of people within the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR). The MMR comprises Mumbai city, Mumbai suburban, Thane, Palghar and part of Raigad district. To ease the restrictions, the state government also issued other guidelines for the Unlock 1.0 scheme on the day.
