Maharashtra home minister tests positive for Covid-19

The Minister of the Interior of Maharashtra State Dilip Walse Patil (Dilip Walse Patil) tested positive for Covid-19 on Wednesday.

Patil posted the same tweet on Thursday morning and asked people he met in the past few days to be tested. Patil was traveling to Amrawati and Nagpur when he tested positive.

On Thursday morning, he tweeted: “After developing mild symptoms, I decided to get tested for COVID-19. I tested positive. My condition is stable and I am following the doctor’s advice. I urge everyone in Nagpur People who come into contact with me during the tour with Amrawati, and other projects, will be tested.” Among others, the Minister of the Interior also contacted Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray and Aditya Thackeray during the state cabinet meeting. An official said that the two of them will also be tested.

An official said, “Patil also held meetings with several police officers, including district sheriffs and police inspectors, to assess law and order issues.” The official added that the police had been asked to pay attention to symptoms.
