The ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC) in West Bengal won 134 of 144 electoral districts on Tuesday, sweeping the Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC) poll. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ranked second with three seats. Congress and the left each won two constituencies.

The People’s Party, which had five wards earlier, lost control of two wards. TMC won 92.36% of the voting rights.

Independent candidate Rubina Naaz (Rubina Naaz) won from District 135 and is the wife of the local TMC leader. She announced that she would join TMC immediately. Two other independent candidates, Purbasha Naskar and Ayesha Kaniz, said that they are also willing to join TMC. “If we are with the ruling party, we can do more work for the people,” said Kaniz, wife of Irfan Ali Taaj, the dissident leader of TMC.

Transport Minister Firhad Hakim stated that they have accepted Naaz’s call to join TMC. “So far, I haven’t spoken to the other two independent winners.”

In speculation that Hakim might become mayor again, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee made everyone speculate. “Our party will meet in Kolkata at 2pm on December 23 and elect the mayor,” Banerjee said, before heading to Guwahati, where she prayed at Kamakshya Temple. The leader of her party called the trip private. Banerjee was originally scheduled to take the evening flight back to Kolkata. Banerjee said that the BJP and the left have been washed away. “Parliament has always been caught between these two losers. This is also reflected in national politics. …Bangladesh and Kolkata will show the way to the Indian people,” said Mamata Banerjee, because TMC is trying to enter the voting restrictions. Goa and other states.

This summer, TMC won 213 seats in the 294-member West Bengal State Assembly, thereby regaining power in the state.

In a tweet, Banerjee said: “My heartiest congratulations to all candidates for winning the KMC election. Remember to serve the people with the greatest diligence and gratitude! I once again sincerely thank every KMC resident for treating us Trust.” The BJP received about 2% of the vote, while the left and Congress each received 1.39% of the vote. The left wing ranks second out of 65 seats, and the Congress ranks second out of 15 seats. The People’s Party won the runner-up with 54 seats.
