Mandana Karimi says she had a secret relationship with a ‘very well-known director’. Reports claiming that Anurag Kashyap was the person with whom she had an affair are ‘unethical and unfortunate’. She also said that the two are still friends.
Mandana has revealed that after her divorce and separation, she was silent on social media for a few months. She also revealed that she had a secret relationship with a well-known director who talks about women’s rights.
In an interview with Times Of India, he said: It’s very unethical and unfortunate. The person whom I had a relationship with, was not my friend.
Mandana was married to businessman Gaurav Gupta in 2017 and separated from him five months later. She filed a domestic violence case against him and his family and had that initially, this upheaval did take a toll on her. During the lockdown, Mandana had also said, “My relationship with him was very secretive because I was not yet divorced”.
