The Bombay Stock Exchange opened flat on Wednesday morning. The 30-stock S&P BSE Sensex fell 161 points and opened at 58,030, while the broader Nifty 50 Index of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) also fell 54 points and opened at 17,300.
On Tuesday, Sensex closed at 58,117.09 points, down 0.29% or 166.33 points from the previous trading day’s closing price of 58,283.42 points. The index also fell to a low of 57,803.87 points during the session.
Nifty 50 closed at 17,324.90 points yesterday, 0.25% lower than the previous day’s closing price of 17,368.25 points. The Nifty 50 hit a high of 17,376.20 and a low of 17,225.80 during the intraday session.
