Punjab Congress president Nafyot Singh Sidhu will submit nomination papers for the eastern parliament seat in Amritsar on Saturday.
“Will be submitting my nomination papers tomorrow, 11.15,” the congressional leader tweeted.
Sidhu is an MLA in the seat. Shiromani Akali Dal sent former Punjab minister Bikram Singh Majithia against him.
The Punjab province will go to the polls on February 20 and the count will take place on March 10.
