As her son Ranbir Kapoor and his then-girlfriend Alia Bhatt were in the hospital all day, Neetu Kapoor recalled how her late husband, actor Rishi Kapoor, used to refer to them as “velle log” (jobless people). While Rishi was receiving cancer treatment in the US, Ranbir and Alia, who are now married, frequently paid him visits.

Neetu recalled that the late actor referred to Ranbir and Alia as “velle log” when he was in the hospital since they would spend the entire day with him in the intensive care unit. According to a story in India Today, Neetu also commended her daughter-in-law Alia, calling her beautiful.

Rishi is blessing her and has his hand on her, Neetu continued. He is and always will be. He is the source of all the affection that I receive from those close to me. He cares that I’m content. And that’s how I ended up with Alia, this lovely bahu rani. Better people are not needed, in my opinion. She is really beautiful. It is all blessed by him. When he was in the hospital, he wanted them to get married. He said, “Please get married right now,” according to the woman.
