UP Minister Jitin Prasada has been appointed as the head of the Ministry of Technical Education. The portfolio was also allocated to six other junior ministers in Uttar Pradesh, India. CM Yogi Adityanath expanded his cabinet on Sunday and appointed one minister Jitin Prasada and six junior ministers.
The Chief Minister met with the newly appointed minister at Lok Bhawan on Monday. The BJP has now allocated the investment portfolio to the new minister who was sworn in by Governor Anandiben Patel at Raj Bhawan in Lucknow. Jitin Prasada withdrew from Congress in June this year to join the BJP and was appointed as the head of the Ministry of Technology and Education of the Uttar Pradesh government.
The portfolio was earlier held by Kamal Rani Varunm, who succumbed to Covid-19 in August last year. The former Lok Sabha MP from Prasada (47 years old) in the Shahjahanpur constituency of UP was also nominated by the BJP as a member of the UP Legislative Committee. At the same time, BJP MLA (45 years old) from Balampur has been assigned to the State Government’s Senik Welfare Department, Home Guard, Prantiya Raksha Dal and Civil Defense Department.
