The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has issued a tender to develop a portion of the Vadodara-Mumbai eight-lane access-controlled highway.
The work area includes the construction of an eight-lane access-controlled expressway from 69.800 km to 79.783 km (spur of Bhoj to Morbe section-Vadodara-Mumbai Expressway) in Maharashtra hybrid annuity mode under Bharatmala Project (Phase-II Package-XVII) . The project is worth Rs 1,693.93 crore.
Despite the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic, NHAI continues to operate at a rapid pace. In the last financial year, NHAI built a record 4,192 km, which is 3,979 km built in 2019-20 and 3,380 km in 2018-19.
