The survey work of New Delhi-Varanasi National High Speed Rail Corridor has been completed using Light Detection and Raging Survey (LIDAR) technology. Now the team of officials of National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) is engaged in the preparation of other processes including tender.
Major cities like Mathura, Agra, Etawah, Lucknow, Rae Bareli, Prayagraj, Bhadohi, Varanasi and Ayodhya are to be connected to Noida’s Jewar Airport in the proposed 800 km under the New Delhi-Varanasi High Speed Corridor.
In the last week of December 2020, land survey work started on the New Delhi-Varanasi High Speed Rail Corridor using LIDAR technology. After the survey completed in the first week of February, the team of officials of NHSRCL have gathered to prepare the next report by collecting accurate survey data, laser data, GPS, flight and photographs using the equipment mounted on the helicopter.
It is expected that soon an office of NHSRCL will also open in Varanasi. After this, this team will work on the plans by coordinating with the district administration for land acquisition.
NHSRCL spokesperson Sushma Gaur said that the land survey work of the New Delhi-Varanasi National High-Speed Rail Corridor has been completed. The survey of Ariel Lidar has been successful. Further, reports are being prepared in respect of other schemes.
