Night curfew extended in Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Surat and Rajkot till April 15

In view of the increasing case of corona in Gujarat, the Gujarat government has decided that the night curfew in Gujarat has been extended for another 15 days from Tuesday. Now, this night curfew has been extended till 15 April. In an official release from the government, it has been told that the night curfew applicable in Ahmedabad, Surat, Vadodara, and Rajkot will now be effective from 9 am to 6 am till 15 April.

The official release said that the government has also extended the implementation of the Centre’s guidelines on the investigation, contact tracing and treatment, and other measures by April 30. Due to the increase in Covid-19 cases, the government had increased the night curfew by two hours on March 16, which has been in force since November last year.

The local authorities have subsequently decided to extend that time by one more hour. The night curfew was to remain in force till 31 March. According to the Gujarat Health Department, 2,220 new cases of coronavirus infection were reported in the state on Tuesday and 10 people have also died due to the disease in the state. So far, 3,05,338 people of Corona have been infected in the state and 4,510 people have died from Corona.
