Soon after the Supertech Emerald Court twin towers were ordered to be demolished for violating the law, the Noida Authority will now pay close attention to all green belts within the collective housing association and around the Noida commercial complex.
According to a report published by the Times of India (TOI), the city’s iconic green belt covers an area of 800 acres, and officials will soon investigate the green belt in the building complex. An official from the Noida authorities stated that the green belt located in the collective housing association will be a priority during the investigation.
Similarly, the second area of focus will be commercial distribution and IT parks to check how much land they leave as a green belt and whether they follow the approved building plan.
According to reports, the Noida Authority has received several complaints from the group housing association that the green belts approved in the building plan have been diverted for parking or the establishment of sewage treatment plants. At the same time, the Noida Authority deployed its staff on Tuesday, in particular to survey the green belt area and use fences around the area to delimit it.
According to reports, the Noida Administration was only given three months by the Supreme Court to demolish the twin towers, when the order was passed on August 31. At the same time, TOI revealed in its report that a group of experts from the Central Building Research Institute (CBRI) in Roorkee discussed the matter in detail with officials in Noida on Tuesday.
