These projects have been approved by the state government in seven different areas.
According to a press briefing issued by the state government, the committee approved Bio WMS’ biomass plant proposal, with a total production capacity of 19,000 tons of Bio-CBG and 29,000 tons of liquid carbon dioxide, and an investment of 319.25 crore.
It will provide employment opportunities for more than 1,250 people and will establish factories in the Angul, Bargarh, Jaipur, Jharsuguda and Sambalpur areas of Orissa. The statement said: “The committee also approved the 200 KLPD ethanol and 5 MW Co power stations to be set up by MGM Biofuels in Boudh to provide employment prospects for more than 120 people in the food processing industry with an investment of 225.24 crore.”
In addition, the Tata Steel Special Economic Zone will invest 1.07 billion rupees to install a desalination plant with an annual capacity of 5.475 billion liters, creating more than 29 jobs for Gopalpur SEZ in Ganjam. “IFFCO will build a new nanourea plant with an annual capacity of 33,000 KL and a bottling plant with a daily capacity of 2,00,000 bottles (500 ml) at Paradeep in Jagatsinghpur, creating employment opportunities for more than 200 people and investing Rs 225 crore,” The statement added.
According to the official announcement, the committee also approved a project in the manufacturing sector to invest 1 billion rupees in Balasol and provide more than 200 job opportunities. It will be produced by Sahyadri Industries with an annual capacity of 120,000 million tons of chrysotile white fiber cement corrugated board.
