Due to increasing cases of CoronaVirus in the country, many states have demanded the central government to provide vaccines. Meanwhile, in Odisha, the Health Minister, Naba Kishore Das has written a letter to the Union Health Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan asking him to provide the necessary vaccines for at least 10 days.
Kishore Das said that at present, about 2.5 lakh people are getting vaccinated daily in Odisha. Due to a shortage of vaccines, we have had to close around 700 vaccination centers in the state. By April 9, there will be a stock-out of the Covishield vaccine across the state, which will affect the administration as well as delays in vaccination of citizens (45 years and above).
