UP imposes a curfew amid rising Omicron cases
The government of Uttar Pradesh decided to impose a curfew on the state from Christmas. The curfew will take effect from 11pm to 5am on December 25th. It also limits the number of people allowed to attend the wedding to 200. Maharashtra implements new restrictions to stop the spread of Omicron
An official said on Friday that in view of the increasing number of Covid-19 cases, especially those caused by the Omicron variant, the Maharashtra state government has decided to impose new restrictions on the state to avoid congestion. Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray met with the state Covid-19 working group and discussed ways to avoid crowds during Christmas and New Year celebrations, weddings, and hotel and restaurant gatherings.
