Nayanthara, who recently starred in the Tamil romantic comedy Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kadhal, directed by her long-time boyfriend Vignesh Shivn, is planning to marry him. Nayanthara and Vignesh are planning to marry on June 9 in Chennai after dating for nearly seven years. On social media, a photo of Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivn presenting the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister with a bouquet surfaced. Nayanthara was holding the wedding invitation. MK Stalin’s son, actor-producer Udhayanidhi Stalin, was also present at the event. The wedding is expected to take place at a resort near Chennai’s East Coast Road.
Last year, Nayanthara announced her engagement to her live-in boyfriend Vignesh Shivn on regional television. Nayanthara discussed her relationship status as part of the promotion for her film Netrikann. Nayanthara was asked about the ring on her finger during an appearance on a Star Vijay talk show, and she confirmed that she was engaged to Vignesh Shivn.
When they worked together on his second directorial, Naanum Rowdydhaan, Nayanthara and Vignesh began dating. Vijay Sethupathi also appeared in the film, which was a box office success.
