OnePlus is preparing for the next release, which will show the world the OnePlus 9RT and the new OnePlus Buds Z2 TWS headset for the first time. Although we now know a lot about the former, OnePlus has not revealed much information about the next iteration of its TWS earbuds.
In addition to the small amount of information we have, the noise cancellation of headphones is now also revealed. Judging from the current official confirmation, we know that OnePlus Buds Z2 will be equipped with a noise reduction function to bring users an immersive experience. The company has now revealed new details about this particular feature. In the list, it says that the new OnePlus Buds Z2 can reduce noise by up to 40dB. This is only a bit higher than the average noise cancellation level we see in TWS headphones.
This is not the first time we have heard the feature in OnePlus’ next voice. There have been rumors that OnePlus Buds Z2 supports this noise reduction function. There are currently no other specifications, but if we follow our previous guesses, OnePlus’ new TWS headsets will also support Dolby Atmos. Other hinted features include Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity, IP55 rating, and fast charging support. TWS headphones only need to charge for 10 minutes to provide 5 hours of playback time. Take a look at the OnePlus Buds Z2 retail box found in GSM Arena to get a clearer picture of the spare battery on the new headset.
There is a 520 mAh battery on the box, which supports the charging case for OnePlus Buds Z2. In addition, there is a 40 mAh battery to power each bud, and the total playback time on a single charge is 7 hours. The charging case may extend this time to more than 30 hours while turning off the noise reduction function. Although we lack its specifications, OnePlus has confirmed the release date of the OnePlus Buds Z2. The company will launch its new TWS headset and the long-awaited OnePlus 9RT in China on October 13. The headset will be available in two color options, and will go on sale on October 19, and pre-orders will begin on October 13.
