The OnePlus Buds Z2 True Wireless Stereo (TWS) headset is expected to be launched sometime in October. Before the release, some key specifications of the upcoming OnePlus wireless headset have surfaced on the Internet. According to the prompts, OnePlus Buds Z2 will have Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), IP55 dust and water resistance, Bluetooth v5.2 and Dolby Atmos support. Earlier this month, the official renderings of OnePlus Buds Z2 were shared by a Twitter, and their design seems to be similar to the original OnePlus Buds Z.
According to Twitter Max Jambor (@MaxJmb), the upcoming OnePlus Buds Z2 will be equipped with ANC and Dolby Atmos support. The OnePlus TWS headset also has Bluetooth v5.2 and IP55 waterproof and dustproof ratings. It is said that the total playback time of the TWS headset and charging box is as long as 38 hours. The earbuds can be used for 7 hours after being fully charged. The prompter also mentioned that charging for 10 minutes will allow the OnePlus Buds Z2 to play for up to 5 hours. It is said that this headset is also available in black and white. There is currently no information on the price or availability of the OnePlus TWS headset. Earlier this month, Twitter Steve Hemmerstoffer (@OnLeaks) shared multiple renderings of OnePlus Buds Z2.
The rendering shows that the earbuds of this headset are slightly tilted compared to its predecessor OnePlus Buds Z (review). The upcoming headset display retains the long handle design, and it is said that the shape of the charging box is also similar to its predecessor. The rendering of the OnePlus Buds Z2 shows several cutouts, which may be for the effective work of ANC and sensors for automatic wear detection. The rendering shows the in-ear design and silicone ear cushions. Other features on the charging box are said to include a USB Type-C port and a LED light to indicate battery life.
