After the dramatic opening on Monday, the center and opposition parties gathered on Tuesday for the second day of the parliamentary winter meeting. The upper house of parliament was in chaos again, because the chairman of the upper house, Vin Kaya Naidu, rejected the opposition leader’s request to revoke the suspension of 12 members of the upper house.
At the same time, Lok Sabha has adjourned until 2 o’clock this afternoon.
Earlier on the first day, during the passage of the 2021 Farm Law Repeal Bill, a commotion broke out in the House of Representatives as the opposition asked for the bill to be discussed. On the last day of the monsoon meeting on August 11, a total of 12 Rajya Sabha opposition MPs were suspended for “unruly and violent behavior.”
After the bill to repeal the three agricultural laws was passed without discussion, Congress and 13 other political parties are also considering boycotting the parliament’s winter meeting.
