Rajya Sabha’s slogans and sabotage continued on Wednesday due to the suspension of its 12 members, and Lok Sabha passed the Assisted Reproductive Technology (Regulation) Act. A bill submitted by the Federal Minister of Health Mansukh Mandaviya in the House of Commons proposes to establish a national registry and registration agency for clinics and medical professionals serving the industry.
The suspended member of Parliament Rajya Sabha sat in front of the statue of Mahatma Gandhi in the parliament building to protest. The government has asked the suspended members to apologize.
“It is regrettable that the leader of the opposition party reduced the dignity of the House of Representatives by accusing 12 members of Congress of suspension,” said the leader of the House of Representatives in Rajya Sabha Piyush Goyal, and demanded an apology from the suspended members of Congress.
